The Wedding Social 

This very unique concept in a special part of many Manitoba weddings.

What is it? Sometimes compared to a “buck and doe”, tickets are purchased to go to the event where the attendees donate money to play games for prizes. There is always a cash bar where some of the profit goes to the bride and groom. A DJ provides popular dance music, and there are even sometimes auction prizes too.

The net money raised goes to the bride and groom to assist them in paying for the wedding, or to help start them off their new life together with a down payment for a home.

This one-night affair is an opportunity for the bride and groom to entertain their friends and family, and to sell tickets to a fun-loving event.

At The Gates on Roblin, we are happy to provide the venue, food and refreshment specials, as well as entertainment for your wedding social. We offer a variety of options and themes to create just the right feel for your event. Socials are only available January thru April.
